Tonight for Homework
1) Please review your Title, Introduction, Hypothesis, Materials and Procedure from last night.
a) Is your title specific? Does it give an idea to the audience of what the actual experiment is all about?
b) Does your introduction include background information about compost and soil? Do you have at least 1 reference from a scientific article in this introduction? Is the purpose of the experiment clearly stated in the introduction?
c) Does your Hypothesis have the IF, THEN , Because format?
d) Is your procedure detailed enough so that a stranger could perform experiment? It should be written like a recipe, vs. written like a biography "I did this ,then I did this..." Do not use "I" in this paper!!!!
2) Review the Power point presentation that Max and Stephanie presented to the class. Write a Discussion about this presentation and the results of the culled beet data. Title this part of the paper: "Culled Beet Data Discussion". (This should go after your Procedure.)Be sure to use numbers and evidence from the power point presentation.
3) Add "Procedure for Beet Leaf Measurements" and "Procedure for Bean Height and Flower Counting" to your Procedure section.
